The history of the Naturresidenz Mair zu Hof in Sand in Taufers stretches back centuries, for the Ahrntal residence was once the headquarters of the knights of St. Mauritzien, who were first mentioned as early as 1271. This knight dynasty ranked among the noble ministries of Lord von Taufers, probably one of the most influential aristrocratic families in the whole of the Tyrol.

Since reconstruction in 2003/2018, these historical roots have harmoniously combined with a modern and comfortable living environment in our informally run Naturresidenz in Sand in Taufers.
